Pikpin is an independent location-based mobile app that helps users discover map points of interest, browse nearby postcard spots, manage collections, and download region data for offline use.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pikpin collects, how we use it, and when it may be shared.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Pikpin,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to pikpin.lab, the independent operator of the Pikpin app and legal pages, reachable at [email protected].
1. Information We Collect
- Location. If you allow location access, Pikpin uses your location while you use the app to show nearby content, center maps, improve search, and suggest relevant downloads.
- Account and profile. If you sign in, we may process account, sign-in, display name, avatar, bio, and account status information. Sign-in is optional for core browsing, downloads, search, and local collections.
- Collections and public content. If you use backup, restore, public profile, or public collection features, we may process the collection and profile information needed to provide those features.
- Purchases and Plus. If you subscribe to Pikpin Plus, Pikpin and purchase service providers may process purchase status and account information.
- Feedback and support. If you contact us or send feedback, we may receive your message, optional contact information, attachments you choose to send, app version, device information, and relevant map or place context.
- Usage, diagnostics, ads, and notifications. We may process app usage, crash, performance, advertising, consent, and notification information to operate, secure, measure, and improve Pikpin.
- Local downloads. Region packs and some preferences may be stored on your device until you delete them or remove the app.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve Pikpin features, including maps, downloads, collections, account backup, public content, Plus, support, and notifications.
- Operate, debug, protect, and measure the service.
- Handle ads and consent settings.
- Respond to support requests, investigate abuse, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.
3. Service Providers and Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Pikpin, including providers for sign-in, cloud storage, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, maps, purchases, notifications, feedback, and infrastructure.
Public profile and public collection information is visible to other users or public visitors when you choose to publish it. We may also disclose information when needed to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect users, or prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money.
4. Advertising, Purchases, and Consent
If the app displays ads, ad and consent tools may process limited device, consent, and ad request information. Where privacy options are available in the app, you can review or update ad-related choices.
Plus subscriptions and platform purchases are processed by the app store or payment platform you use. We use purchase status to confirm Plus benefits.
5. Data Retention
We use information only as needed to provide Pikpin features, keep the service secure, handle support requests, manage purchase status, and comply with legal requirements.
When you delete your Pikpin account, account features are disabled and account data is deleted.
Local data on your device can be deleted in the app or cleared by removing the app from your device.
6. Children's Privacy
Pikpin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
7. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live because our service providers and infrastructure may operate globally. Where applicable, we rely on the safeguards made available by those providers and under applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice in the app where appropriate.
